Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how SalonRecords, operated by Denton BBQ LLC, collects, uses, stores, and shares information when stylists, salons, and related users use the platform. Effective September 6, 2026.

This page is a practical platform policy for SalonRecords. It is not legal advice to stylists, salons, or clients.

1. Information we collect

Depending on how SalonRecords is used, we may process:

  • Account and authentication information, such as name, email address, login identifiers, and access status.
  • Stylist and business information, including business name, contact information, location, profile image, booking information, and portal settings.
  • Client information entered by a stylist or salon, such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, appointment information, service history, formulas, notes, preferences, and opt-in selections.
  • Photos and files uploaded to service records or other professional records.
  • Technical information such as IP address, browser/device information, authentication/session data, logs, and security events.
  • Communication information related to email, SMS, support requests, or account notices.

2. How we use information

We use information to:

  • Provide, operate, secure, maintain, and improve SalonRecords.
  • Authenticate users and enforce portal access controls.
  • Store and display professional client records for authorized salon users.
  • Support bookings, appointment records, notifications, service records, formulas, SDS references, and related workflows.
  • Respond to support, security, legal, or account requests.
  • Detect misuse, fraud, unauthorized access, and technical problems.
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations and protect the rights and safety of users, Denton BBQ LLC, and others.

3. SMS and mobile messaging privacy

SMS participation is optional. Mobile information, including mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in information, and messaging consent, is used only to provide communications that the user has authorized, including appointment confirmations, reminders, schedule changes, cancellations, deposit or payment status notifications, and related customer-service messages.

Mobile information and messaging consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

We may provide mobile information to service providers, carriers, aggregators, and other vendors that process or support text messages on our behalf only as necessary to deliver the messaging service. Those providers may not use mobile information or SMS consent for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

Message frequency varies based on appointment and account activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of SMS messages at any time. Reply HELP for assistance. Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchase or booking.

4. Stylist and salon responsibilities

Stylists and salons decide what client information they enter into SalonRecords and are responsible for obtaining any permissions or consent required to collect, store, photograph, communicate with, or otherwise process information about their clients.

A client who wants to review, correct, or delete information maintained by a particular stylist should generally contact that stylist or salon first because the professional account owner controls the business record.

5. Service providers and sharing

We may share information with vendors and service providers that help operate SalonRecords, such as hosting, database, authentication, email, SMS, file-storage, security, monitoring, and support providers. They receive information only as needed to provide services to us or our users.

Any sharing described in this section does not include sharing mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in information, or messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to respond to valid legal process, to protect rights or safety, to investigate abuse or security incidents, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of the business.

Denton BBQ LLC does not sell SalonRecords user conversations or client records to advertisers.

6. Cookies, sessions, and authentication

SalonRecords and its authentication providers may use cookies, session storage, or similar technologies that are necessary to sign users in, keep sessions secure, remember settings, prevent fraud, and operate the site. Additional analytics or optional technologies may be added in the future and this policy will be updated as appropriate.

7. Data retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain business and security records, satisfy contractual or legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods may differ depending on the type of data and the account relationship.

8. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No internet service or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and users are responsible for protecting their own credentials and devices.

9. Client images and sensitive professional records

Service-record images, formulas, notes, and other professional records may contain information a client considers private. These records are intended for authorized professional use. Account owners should limit uploads to information reasonably needed for legitimate salon operations and should avoid entering unnecessary sensitive information.

10. Children and minors

SalonRecords is a business platform for salon professionals and is not directed to children under 13. If a stylist maintains records involving a minor client, the stylist or salon is responsible for obtaining any parental or guardian permission required by law or professional practice.

11. Your choices and requests

Account users may update certain profile and business information directly in the platform. Requests concerning access, correction, deletion, account closure, or privacy questions may be sent to Denton BBQ LLC. We may need to verify identity and account authority before acting on a request.

When a request concerns a record controlled by a stylist or salon, we may direct the requester to that professional account owner.

12. Third-party links

SalonRecords may link to third-party websites, manufacturer SDS documents, booking resources, maps, or other services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as SalonRecords changes. The effective date above will be revised when material updates are published.

14. Contact

Privacy questions or requests may be sent to Denton BBQ LLC at jeff@dentonbbq.com, Denton, Texas.
